You may sometimes see something on our website, but the next day it may not be there. Or you may see something on someone else's computer, but it doesn't show on yours. This normal, don't worry.
We come up with ideas every week, and when we're ready to release them we select a small percentage of customers to 'trial' the new service/experience.
A perfect example is our web hosting page, this will display different content to different users, the pricing is exactly the same, but the wording, images and overall design may be different to some customers. We then monitor your activity on that page to see where you click, what you scroll past and how long you stay on it. We then compare this to the other design with other customers to see which one is more successful.
This process is also known as 'A/B testing'.
Sometimes we will release something completely new (such as referrals), so some customers may be able to benefit from the features of referring a friend, and some won't be able to until it's released slowly. This way we know we'e got it right and it works correctly. The reason we don't release it out to everyone is because if something isn't quite right, or it fails this would be pretty emabahrasing!
We want to assure you that none of our tests include pricing changes, all prices shown on the website are the same for every customer, no matter if they are in test 'A' or 'B'.
